Women’s cancers we treat

Each of these cancers is different, and so is each woman who has one. Your plan is built around your diagnosis, your stage, your health and what matters to you.

Breast cancer

From an abnormal mammogram or biopsy through chemotherapy, targeted and hormone therapy, with surgery and radiation coordinated alongside.

Ovarian cancer

Treatment planning and on-site chemotherapy, coordinated with gynecologic oncology surgeons, plus genetic testing when it’s recommended.

Cervical cancer

Care after an abnormal Pap or HPV result leads to a cancer diagnosis, including chemotherapy given alongside radiation when that’s the plan.

Uterine (endometrial) cancer

Treatment after surgery when it’s needed, and evaluation for Lynch syndrome, which can affect your family’s screening too.

Vulvar cancer

A less common cancer that deserves specialist attention, with care coordinated across surgery, radiation and medical oncology.

Vaginal cancer

Rare, and best managed by a team that coordinates closely — we keep your surgeons, radiation oncologists and our team aligned.

Anal cancer

Often treated with chemotherapy and radiation together; we manage the chemotherapy and coordinate timing with radiation oncology.

Your physicians

Your care at our Jamaica center is led by our hematologist-oncologists — doctors trained in both cancer and blood disorders.

Frequently Asked Questions About Women’s Cancer Care

Which women's cancers do you treat?

Our hematologist-oncologists care for women with breast, ovarian, cervical, uterine (endometrial), vulvar, vaginal and anal cancers — from the first abnormal result through treatment and follow-up.

Where is your women's cancer center?

Our women’s health and women’s cancer care is centered at our Jamaica, Queens location, 140-40 Queens Blvd, Jamaica, NY 11435 — close to Briarwood–Van Wyck Blvd on the E and F lines, and to Jamaica Center. Oncology patients can also be seen at our Howard Beach center.

How soon can I be seen?

Call 718-866-3037 on a weekday and we’ll get you an appointment within 24 hours. That applies whether you have an abnormal mammogram or Pap result, a new diagnosis, or want a second opinion.

Do you offer second opinions for breast or gynecologic cancer?

Yes. Second opinions are typically covered by insurance, and most major plans are accepted. We’ll verify your coverage before your visit.

Should I have genetic testing?

Some breast, ovarian and uterine cancers are linked to inherited gene changes such as BRCA1, BRCA2 and Lynch syndrome. Your oncologist will review your personal and family history and recommend genetic testing when it could change your care or your family’s screening.

Is chemotherapy given at the Jamaica center?

Chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive infusions are given in our own infusion centers, so most patients are treated by the same team that plans their care. Ask us which center is easier for you when you call.

You don’t have to figure this out alone.

Call today and we’ll get you an appointment with a women’s cancer specialist within 24 hours.
