A large share of our patients here are women with iron deficiency — from heavy menstrual bleeding, from pregnancy and postpartum blood loss, or from the heavier, less predictable cycles of perimenopause. Many arrive after being told their blood count was normal, because ferritin was never checked. An iron infusion runs 45 to 90 minutes depending on the product and dose, plus a short observation period. Most patients return to normal activities the same day.
Bloodwork including a full iron panel is drawn on site, so results come back faster and there is no separate trip to a laboratory.
